Split tube sampler

When your drilling needs call for a split tube sampler, FORDIA’s full line of quality, DCDMA-approved samplers are ready for use in any drilling situation.

Thin wall tube sampler
Whether you need a 2-5" thin wall, 3" SST, or 3" seamless Shelby tube, FORDIA’s thin wall tube samplers and head assemblies meet or exceed all steel requirements listed in DCDMA specifications.

Heavy Duty split tube sampler
FORDIA’s well-built, quality-crafted, heavy-duty split tube samplers are 2" O.D. split-spoons that are heat treated for longer wear.

The complete sampler includes a durable head, a split- section that is crafted of the finest quality 4130 steel, and a heat treated show. FORDIA’s samplers are available in 2", 2-1/2", or 3" diameter, with either a standard fine thread shoe (8 threads per inch) or a quick thread shoe (4 threads per inch). FORDIA also offers spilt tube sampler accessories, including steel and synthetic basket retainers, flap valves, and liners.

Safety Hammer

FORDIA’s Safety Hammer is built with three key elements in mind – accuracy, safety, and durability.

The accuracy is derived from a newly-designed, one-piece, stem-impact block unit. Safety is assured by fully enclosing the parts between the hammer and the rod. Finally, the hammer is manufactured of high quality steel to ensure a sturdy, well-built product.

Augers Heavy Duty Hollow Stem Augers FORDIA’s hollow stem augers are full fluted 5 ft. lengths that are built for toughness, but light enough for easy handling. We offer four sizes of hollow stem, splined, sleeve type augers: 2 ¼ I.D. (5 5/8 » O.D.) 3 ¼ I.D. (6 5/8 O.D.) 4 ¼ I.D. (7 5/8 O.D.) 6 ¼ I.D. (9 5/8 O.D) Any auger can be quickly adapted to other makes or sizes using an adapter that is available from FORDIA. Auger Connection FORDIA offers a superior design slip fit auger connection with a course spline and a 2-bolt coupling. The 2-bolt coupling creates a more durable connection for deep drilling situations. The coupling also allows the operator to easily remove one bolt and install a thread protector to be prepared for shallow drilling. The coupling is made using a heat-treated alloy steel investment casting, which adds to the strength of the product. Solid Flight Augers Our continuous flight augers maintain the high standards of quality offered by FORDIA. These augers are made from 4130 cold drawn, stress relief annealed steel tubing to assure high quality and maximum strength. The carbon steel shaft minimizes weight, and ensures maximum strength and rigidity. The flights are abrasion-resistant, and formed with a slightly tapered concave surface that pushes soil toward the shaft in order to minimize clogging and auger drag. Dry Augers FORDIA dry auger system features simple, inexpensive compression seals, auger bolt caps, and O-rings, which provide leak proof stringing for the driller, and ensure the flexibility of conventional augers. This eliminates the worry of leaving water-resistant augers in the ground because they break when they hit a cobble. It also eliminates the problem of water flowing in through the auger connections when drilling below the water table, and fluids flowing out of the connections during mud rotary drilling. FORDIA augers save time, reduce materials, and eliminate cross-contamination headaches. The dry auger system is adaptable to all sizes – Diedrich, CME, Foremost, and other types of auger connections.
