Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Canada (March 3rd, 2019) – Fordia and Epiroc will be exhibiting together for the first time at PDAC 2019, being held from March 3-6, 2019 in Toronto, Canada.
Fordia Group Inc., a world-class Canadian manufacturer of diamond tools and equipment for the mineral exploration and geotechnical sectors, was acquired earlier this year by Epiroc, a Swedish-based, global leading productivity partner for the mining and infrastructure industries.
With the strategic acquisition of Fordia, Epiroc increases its focus on the mineral exploration sector. This focus will be leveraged by the high-quality products and outstanding customer service for which Fordia is known, and will bring synergies not only to Epiroc’s Rock Drilling Tools division but also to its Surface Exploration Drilling and Mining and Rock Excavation Service divisions, as the company strengthens its position in the exploration industry.
Epiroc and Fordia will exhibit together to show PDAC attendees how this collaboration benefits customers. The corporate space at booth #723 will feature the Diamec Smart 6 drill rig and the Exploration Manager system, along with a complete selection of exploration consumables, but it will mainly be focused on customer relationships. “This year at PDAC we want to show the exploration market the benefits of Epiroc and Fordia coming together and that we are onto something better for exploration,” said Arunkumar Govindarajan, President, Rock Drilling Tools Division at Epiroc.
Attendees can expect to be impressed at booth #322, where innovation will reign. The new products featured this year will include the DiscovOre head assembly, the HERO 5 Abrasive core bit, the RC45 HD hammer and the brand new HERO 13 core bit designed for very hard ground. “We’re excited that together with Epiroc, we are able to offer our customers a broader range of products. Our goal continues to be improving drilling performance while offering superior customer service,” said Denis Landry, General Manager at Fordia and VP of Exploration, Rock Drilling Tools Division at Epiroc.
The delegation from the companies will include executives from sales, marketing, engineering and logistics, as well as Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s Senior Executive Vice President Mining and Infrastructure. As in years past, a VIP cocktail party is scheduled, starting at 3:30 pm on March 5 at booth #723. The event this year is expected to be even bigger and more exciting.
PDAC is the world’s premier mineral exploration and mining convention and is expected to attract more than 20,000 attendees.
