Annual Directors’ BBQ in Montreal: Food, fun, flags

After days of cool temperatures and serious rainfall, the weather finally cooperated with the annual director’s BBQ held in Montreal on June 13, 2025. This event is a tradition that has the directors preparing and serving food to the staff as a show of appreciation for their work throughout the year.

 

This year the Montreal office was proud to welcome Alex Grant to the event, his first visit to Montreal since being named VP Marketing, OBK. He was able to enjoy some Montreal hospitality and enjoy the day’s events.

 

As new events for the employees are always welcome, this year’s BBQ featured our first soccer tournament. Two teams, one from each plant, competed for bragging rights, the opportunity to win a medal and 300 points from Enkourage for each member of the winning team. It was a close game, but in the end, the team from Dollard des Ormeaux was victorious.

 

One of the final events of the day was the unveiling of three flags: the Swedish flag, the Canadian flag and the Epiroc flag, all representing unity and another step forward in our brand transition. In alignment with the ongoing brand transition, each employee received the gift of a custom Epiroc-branded fleece hoodie. The day wound down with speeches from Alex and Patrice before everyone left with their goodies – another successful BBQ!
