Years in the making: Successful training with Kluane in Nicaragua

by Kyle Cameron, Technical Service Representative, Fordia Vancouver

In a significant achievement for our Fordia Vancouver team, we recently led a crucial training in Nicaragua for our esteemed client, Kluane Drilling Ltd. During this 14-day trip, I visited 13 out of 15 drills and a total of 5 different job sites.

The focus for my visit was to help inspect and see how Fordia can help Kluane moving forward. Over these two weeks, we met and educated over 80 seasoned drillers and dedicated helpers. The training content we covered namely included head assembly maintenance, drill bit and matrix selection as well as information about our tubular products.

Kluane Drilling Ltd. is a private Canadian company with over 35 years of experience. They operate globally in Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Central America, and Ethiopia. Kluane specializes in versatile, highly mobile, and lightweight drills suitable for various projects, including remote or mountainous areas.

This training was more than welcome by the team. Securing access to these sites required several years of efforts, making this training a real highlight to our team's unwavering commitment and persistence.

Lucas MacEwan and I are more than confident that this on-site visit has helped our client in their continuous drilling efficiency journey and even more importantly for us, has strengthened our partnership with them.
