Excitement builds for PDAC 2025
The Epiroc Exploration team has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming PDAC event. This is an annual event that takes in Toronto and is the premier mineral exploration and mining convention in the world.
This year, we are excited to be launching the Hero 8 coring bit and the Ultra-deep water swivel, along with the DiscovOre Prime in P size. The Hero 8 is the latest addition to the Fordia line of HERO diamond core bits and was developed to fulfill the specific need in the market for a bit that excels in medium-hard to hard ground conditions with a Mohs hardness rating of 5.5 to 7. The Ultra-deep water swivel is an easy-to-transport product that offers an impressive 50 000 lb capacity.
The event will also serve as a pre-launch for the Diamec Automated Rod Magazine (ARM). This new product will minimize operator fatigue, provide safer work environment, and boost productivity. The magazine enables drill strings to be tripped out fully automatically to pre-set position and tripped in with minimal input from the operator.
Our global team is ready to showcase our electrification and digitalization solutions that continue to accelerate the transformation of our industry, as well as hammers from Schramm Powered by Epiroc. At a separate nearby booth, the team from Corescan Powered by Epiroc will be launching their new CorePhoto, a powerful tool that captures precise images of core samples onsite, in almost any location. This innovative product is designed to make geological research easier, faster, and more efficient by providing error-free and consistent results.
