Press Release

A broad team of experts creating focus for Exploration at Epiroc

Montreal, June 13, 2022: Fordia Powered by Epiroc is excited to exhibit at the world’s premier mineral exploration convention, the PDAC, which takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada.

After two years of expectations and build-up, a unified team of experts will be on site, at booth 723 from June 13-15. Epiroc will show its commitment towards exploration with its Fordia Powered by Epiroc brand, bringing joint representation from both brands within the same booth.

In addition, this year, the MineRP solutions will also be presented following their recent acquisition by the group.

As a key feature, the new and yet to be released Christensen 160 Smart Surface drill rig will be showcased. Made in Canada, this machine brings Swedish quality and local specialty. Epiroc's first surface drill with Smart Controls, the Canadian-made Christensen 160 Smart, designed for the Canadian market, including a modular design for helicopter transport, will be launched soon.

‘’One of the things that make me proud with this product development, is the enthusiastic collaboration we’ve shared with the local experts at Odyssey Fluid Power.’’ says Peter Walsh. ‘’Not only are they building what I would call a dream machine, but they will also be our service partner for all our sales in Canada’’

To highlight this key collaboration as a service partner, representatives from Odyssey Fluid Power will be present within the booth. As mentioned by Mr. Walsh, Odyssey is not only manufacturing the new machines locally for Epiroc, but also fully servicing Canada to ensure optimal customer service and after sale care.

Fordia Powered by Epiroc will also take advantage of this long-awaited convention to present the DiscovOre Underground PO head assembly. This head allows core drilling in up to horizontal position underground, in one of the largest dimensions available in the industry. https://www.fordia.com/products/
